About
Kids Summer Art Camp gives campers behind-the-scenes access to exhibitions and interactive presentations by SJMA’s professional installation team. Campers experiment with the artistic process through creative exploration of art materials and processes, exploring a variety of artistic media and techniques. Each session includes hands-on experience curating their own art exhibition, a student exhibition, and an exhibition reception that features campers’ artwork for families, caregivers, and friends.
• Ages: 6–14 years old
• Schedule: Weekly camps, Monday–Friday, 9am–3pm, from June 8–July 24, 2026 (no camp the week of June 29)
• Price: Camp fees are $500 per week; SJMA members at the Family level or above receive a $50 (10%) discount; fees include art materials and supplies; fees are refundable if requested before Monday, June 1, 2026, with a $35 processing fee, and are nonrefundable starting Monday, June 1, 2026
Camps are led by experienced gallery teachers and studio art educators. Curriculum for ages 6–8 and 9–11 repeats weekly, while teen camps offer something new each week with unique projects and activities. SJMA provides all art materials needed to participate in the camps.
