Learning Plus Tutoring

Learning Plus Tutoring offers one-on-one tutoring with multi-sensory tutoring programs tailored to a child’s needs. It also offers reading tutoring with phonics and comprehension instruction, math tutoring at elementary, intermediate, and advanced levels, science tutoring in basic science, biology, physics, and chemistry, and writing tutoring at beginning, intermediate, and advanced levels.

• Academic Summer Camp — children · during the summer months · Fun and successful summer camp activities; offered during the summer months.
• Writing Excellence Workshop — throughout the year
• Back-to-School Bootcamp — throughout the year
• Homeschool Group Classes — students in grades 3 through 9 · regular school year, beginning of September to end of May; 5- to 6-week increments; 10:00 am-12:00 pm · Approved vendor; maximum teacher-to-student ratio of 1 to 4; minimum of three students; by appointment only.

About the provider

Learning Plus Tutoring was founded in 1982. Its leadership team includes Rachel Renna, Owner and Director, and Sue Walker, Founder. The program’s mission is to help children build knowledge, skills, self-esteem, confidence, and positive attitudes about learning and life. Bay Area Parent Magazine has awarded Learning Plus Tutoring a Family Favorite and/or Editor’s Choice award every year since 2012.

Homeschool classes require a minimum of three students, are booked in 6-week sessions by appointment only, and payment is due in full at the beginning of the course.
