About

Mightyfist Taekwon-Do offers Taekwon-Do training and self defense classes using the International Taekwon-Do Federation (ITF) curriculum. Classes follow the original traditional ITF Taekwon-Do developed and taught throughout the world by General Choi Hong Hi. The program includes instruction in both attacking and offensive techniques as well as self defense classes, with female Taekwon-Do students especially learning throws, grab releases, and situation awareness.

• Ages: 5–18 years old
• Schedule: Class options Monday–Friday between 3:45pm and 8:30pm

Mightyfist Taekwon-Do was established in 2003 and teaches an International Taekwon-Do Federations recognized curriculum taught by experienced ITF qualified instructors. The leadership team includes Master Morris, Mr. Morris, and Mr.Morris as teachers. The program holds international certification and is home to a lot of Team USA members. According to the mission statement, the school focuses on Taekwondo for men, women, and children in a fun and safe environment where students can learn at their own pace and work toward their goals using the ITF curriculum.

Testimonials from students and families describe Mightyfist Taekwon-Do as holding students to high standards in self-defense, patterns/forms, sparring, and breaking, and refer to an oath recited in class that includes “Courtesy, integrity, perseverance, self-control, indomitable spirit.” Reviewers describe Master Morris as charismatic, strict, humorous, and serious about Taekwon-Do, and note that the school is accepting and caters to all skill levels with more patterns and exercises than sparring or breaking each week. Other comments mention a friendly and professional environment, a lot of humor in class, and teachers, including Mr. Morris and Mr.Morris, who are described as very nice to students, teach students not to use Taekwon-Do at home, and emphasize respect for seniors and classmates.
