AVAC Junior Programs include activities in swim, tennis, fitness, and pickleball. The program takes place at a club that also offers kids camps and Dive-In Movie Nights as part of its junior and family-focused options. Families can also find child care and an on-site cafe with beer and wine available during their visit to the club.

Team AVAC is described as a “work hard, play hard” group that does whatever it takes for each other and the community. The organization has been recognized with a Top Workplaces 2025 credential. Founder Joe Shank and Jim Theiring grew up in Coos Bay, Oregon, and Jim and Linda Theiring put their life savings down on a San Jose walnut grove as part of the club’s early history.
