Sessions Academy of Movement offers parkour classes, flipping classes, group practices, private coaching, and public open gym sessions. The program also runs parkour camps throughout the year, including summer, winter, fall, spring, MLK Day, Veteran’s Day, and Memorial Day parkour camps, as well as birthday parties, Nerf parties, and private events such as parkour birthday parties. Class options include a Kids parkour class, Little Movers (Ages 3 to 5), Teen & Young Adult parkour class, Adult parkour class, kids homeschool parkour classes, and private lessons, all held in a spacious 12,000 sq ft parkour gym with obstacles, bars, climbing holds, trampolines, and soft landing mats.

Sessions Academy of Movement states that its mission is to teach and introduce people to parkour training with a focus on effort, persistence, and steady progression, using parkour and freerunning as a fun and active platform for kids, teens, and adults. The program uses an American Parkour Certified curriculum and has the ability to incorporate the curriculum of both APK and WFPF, along with a Positive Coaching Alliance research-based approach. It describes its classes as fast paced, fun, and encouraging, with a curriculum specifically designed to keep every student engaged while being challenged physically and mentally, and emphasizes individual creativity and unique perspectives in movement within an encouraging, supportive, and inclusive community.

The leadership team includes co-founders and partners Angel Abiang, Jr. and Diana Silva, along with co-founder and Parkour Team Manager Frank Fuentes, who is a Sessions AOM Certified Instructor, APK Certified Parkour Instructor, WFPF Certified Parkour Instructor, CPR Certified, Positive Coaching Alliance Certified, and has 10 years of experience as a parkour instructor. Additional team members include Lead Parkour Instructor Donivin Prendez; Sr. Parkour Coach Anderson Huynh; co-founder and marketing/design lead Andrea Nysen; and multiple parkour instructors and competitive parkour athletes such as Alex Martinez, Roberto Carmona, Ben Chadda, Cian O’Moore, Jason Switkes, and Sovin Herzlinger, as well as instructors who are members of the SF Bay Area Parkour Community, including Anderson Huynh, Omid Kahnamouie, Nick Murray, and Jr. Parkour Instructor Ryry Abiang. Several instructors are Sessions AOM Certified Instructors, CPR Certified, Positive Coaching Alliance Certified, and serve as competition or competitive team coaches.

Sessions Academy of Movement is certified and affiliated with the world’s first parkour gym and lists American Parkour Certified curriculum, WFPF USA Parkour Certified instructors, and Positive Coaching Alliance certified double goal coaches among its credentials. The program identifies itself as San Jose’s first Parkour & Freerunning academy, San Jose’s premiere parkour training facility, and the Bay Area’s premier parkour facility, and is a member of the SF Bay Area Parkour Community.
