Purdance Preschool and Children & Teens Program

Purdance Preschool and Children & Teens Program offers a wide range of dance classes, including Combo Classes, Mini Ballet, Ballet, Jazz, Contemporary, Tap, Lyrical, Hip Hop, K-Pop, and Competition & Performance Teams. The program also includes Pre-Ballet, Combo, Tap, Hip Hop, K-Pop, Street Style (Popping, Locking, Breaking), Technique, Strength, and Movement classes, as well as Mommy & Me, creative movement, Acro, Pointe, Stretch & Strength, and dance technique. Families can also book lessons, workshops, choreography, private lessons, wedding or event choreography, group lessons, dance rehearsals, private practices, birthday parties, and dance parties through the program.

• Ages: 2–17 years old
• Schedule: Open 6 days a week during the regular season (August–June) and 4 days a week during the summer, with studio hours Monday–Friday 4:00–8:30 pm and Saturday 9:00 am–12:00 pm

Purdance states that its mission for the Preschool and Children & Teens Program is to cultivate an environment that promotes young students to discover music and rhythm, gain self-confidence and poise, feel inspired by creativity and imagination, and engage in learning through a positive and healthy curriculum. The program includes an Elite Program for dancers who want to experience and prepare for the professional world of dance. Purdance describes its approach as non-competitive and body-positive, with individualized attention for every dancer, classes for all levels from toddlers to teens, diverse styles such as Ballet, Jazz, Hip Hop, Contemporary, and more, and recital and performance opportunities throughout the year. Purdance reports that it serves families across the South Bay with training in a welcoming, non-competitive environment.
