About
Diana's Rhythmic Club offers rhythmic gymnastics, ballet, and creative movements to music. Classes use apparatus such as ribbons, balls, hoops, ropes, and clubs, along with dance and creative movement. All gymnasts follow a dress code of tight-fitting athletic tops and bottoms, with hair tied back, and no jewelry other than post-stud earrings, and electronic devices are turned in to the coaches table during practice.
• Ages: 5–17 years old
• Schedule: Gym closure dates for 2025–2026 include Martin Luther King Jr. Day (January 19th), Blooming Grace Invitational (March 14th–15th), Memorial Weekend (May 23rd–25th), and Summer Break (June 29th–July 5th)
• Price: A registration/membership fee of $100/athlete must be paid prior to the beginning of each competitive season.
Diana's Rhythmic Club states that classes combine ballet and creative movements to music while working with ribbons, balls, hoops, ropes, and clubs, and that classes are designed to develop grace in movement, muscular strength/flexibility, and build self-confidence. The program states that it is committed to providing a safe, fun, and positive learning environment for students. The competitive team includes both Development Program and Xcel, with makeups not provided for Development Program Team classes and possible makeup classes for Xcel Team athletes at no additional cost under stated conditions. All team members are required to have a credit card saved on file, with tuition automatically charged monthly and late payment and late pickup fees charged to the card on file. Team training is drop off and pick up only, with limited parent viewing allowed at the beginning or end of training, and parents are not allowed to videotape classes unless expressly asked to do so by a coach.
Diana's Rhythmic Club has been training champions in the Bay Area since 2004 and was originally named Starlite Gymnastics Academy for six years before changing to Diana's Rhythmic Gymnastics. The stated mission is “Inspiring grace and strength through the Olympic Sport of Rhythmic Gymnastics — proudly training champions in the Bay Area since 2004!” Rhythmic gymnastics is described as an Olympic sport exclusive to girls, using apparatus that includes dance, ball, ribbon, clubs, hoop, and rope. The club hosted the 2025 NorCal State Championships for over 180 athletes. The team has performed and participated in various profit and non-profit events around the San Francisco Bay Area.
