San Jose Judo Academy offers instruction in traditional Kodokan Judo, contemporary competitive Judo, and dynamic Judo that includes traditional Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu elements such as takedowns, pins, ground control, armbars, and chokes. The program includes Judo competition training, Newaza/ground techniques, women's self defense, and kids' anti-bullying activities.

Instructors are certified Coaches and certified Instructors, and the academy notes that they are Certified USA Safesport and undergo updated, clean background checks yearly. As required by USA Judo, all instructors have cleared background checks, received concussion risk mitigation and response training, and attained Safesport certification.
San Jose Judo Academy is a current member of the United States Judo Federation (USJF), Northern California Judo Association, Hokka Judo Yudanshakai, and USA Judo.
