Studio 10 Dance offers classes in ballet, tap, hip-hop, jazz, contemporary, lyrical, and breakdancing. The program includes Tap Explosion, which focuses on Rhythm Tap, and Company 10, a competitive performance team based out of Studio 10.

Studio 10 Dance is woman owned and was established in 1989. Tap Explosion is under the direction of Ms. Gayle Greenbrook, who has studied with Lynn Dally, Gracey Tune, Sam Weber, and Eddie Brown. The purpose of the Company 10 dance team is to foster the potential for excellence in young dancers through a well-balanced and consistent education in the art of dance, with an ultimate goal of creating strong, passionate, dedicated members and leaders of the greater community. The ultimate goal with Company 10 dancers is to create strong, passionate, dedicated members and leaders of the greater community. Studio 10 Dance offers a free trial class for new students.
Tap Explosion’s primary function is to preserve and promote the style and history of Rhythm Tap. Studio 10 Dance notes being one of San Jose’s longest running hip hop and breakdance programs. For auditions, dancers are asked to wear a fitted top and shorts or leggings with jazz or tap shoes for jazz and tap, and stretchy, breathable dance clothes with clean sneakers for hip-hop, arrive early, wear hair pulled back, and bring an enclosed water bottle. The studio uses hospital-grade air purifiers installed into the ventilation systems, HEPA air filters in each dance room, and touch-surfaces and floors are cleaned and disinfected between classes throughout the week.
