Sunnymont-Westside Parent Participation Nursery School

Sunnymont-Westside Parent Participation Nursery School offers activities in art, music, science, math, creative play, literacy, social skills, emotional learning, appreciation of the natural world, and physical movement experiences. The program also includes Family Fridays, which are part of its regular offerings.

The program’s stated mission is: “Where childhood is honored, individuals are valued just as they are, & parents and children learn together… At Sunnymont-Westside Parent Participation Nursery School, we believe children learn best as nature intends them to, through play.” Sunnymont-Westside is a parent participation nursery school where families work alongside teachers in the classroom, and the curriculum is planned by teachers with specific learning goals in mind. The school maintains a high adult/child ratio, operates as a non-sectarian corporation of the State of California, and is a non-profit public benefit organization. Sunnymont-Westside is licensed by the Santa Clara County Department of Social Services (License #4344 13020). It is a member of the California Council of Parent Participation Nursery Schools, Inc. (CCPPNS) and Parent Cooperative Preschools International (PCPI).
