About the provider

The school says children learn best through play. Teachers plan a curriculum and set up the environment with specific learning goals, and the school describes social, emotional, cognitive, and physical play and exploration. Each family works alongside teachers in the classroom and contributes to the running of the school, and families also participate in fundraising efforts and community events.

Age exceptions are occasionally granted if there is space in the class. Families make a written request to the school board, reviewed by the teacher. If invited, a child may attend a class to determine the best placement. Exceptions are granted provisionally for the current school year and must be reapplied for every year. A non-refundable application fee of $75/year is required. The deposit is one month’s tuition and is refundable on a prorated basis if the family withdraws in good standing. Tuition is due monthly on the 1st and considered late after the 10th.
