The Music Place offers early childhood classes for ages 1-6, including Family Classes for ages 0-3 with parents or caregivers and Early Music Awareness groups for ages 3-6. It also offers instrumental study for ages 6 and up, where students survey 7-8 size-appropriate instruments and learn keyboard basics before private lessons, plus vocal classes, private lessons, adaptive music lessons, and music therapy.

- Special Needs — BIRTH-ADULT · Board Certified Music Therapists offer private and small group therapy sessions; adaptive music lessons are also available.
- Music Adventures Group Classes — Kids within a reasonable age range; schedules listed for 4-6 yrs, 6-8 yrs, 6-9 yrs, 7-10 yrs, Teen, Teen-Adult, Adult · Monday 3:30-4:00PM; Thursday 3:10-3:40PM, 4:10-4:40PM, 5:20-5:50PM; Friday 3:45-4:15PM, 4:50-5:20PM; Saturday 11:25-11:55AM, 4:30-5PM · Kids' music group classes using elements of Early Music Awareness; assessment or recommendation from therapy team required.
- Music Therapy — All ages · Clinical and evidence-based music interventions by credentialed professionals; private and small group sessions.
- Adaptive Music Lessons — Adaptive lessons for special needs clients; for clients with sustained attention, adaptive music lessons focusing on learning to play specific instruments are available.
- Private Lessons — Private lessons are offered for multiple instruments and voice.

About the provider
The Music Place has provided music education in the South Bay since 1984. Its stated mission is: "Where Learning is FUN, and Every Child is Special!" and the dream is to inspire every child or adult to learn in a way that helps them love music for a lifetime. The program says it welcomes all ages, cultures, abilities and disabilities and is described as the most award-winning music school in Silicon Valley.
Family Classes are with parents or caregivers for ages 0-3. A free first trial is offered for group classes. Students with special needs that require an aid, special assistance, or an IEP are suggested to have an initial assessment screening before trying a group class. Add $10 per month to tuition rate for adaptive classes and/or those requiring payment through Purchase Orders or other third party vendors. Expires 8/31/26 for the group class special.
