Bay Area Acting Studio offers the Youth Summer Acting Academy, TV & Film Acting Class, Actor Reel Shoots, Acting For Teens, and classes in the Meisner Technique of Acting, improvisation, and acting. The Youth Summer Acting Academy consists of five week-long summer acting camps, and Actor Reel Shoots provide options to film 1, 2, or 3 scenes at different price points.

• Schedule: Youth Summer Acting Academy runs as five separate week-long camps from June 15 through the end of July, meeting Monday–Friday from 10:00am–4:00pm; Acting For Teens meets on Mondays from 4:30pm–6:30pm; TV & Film Acting Class (Ages 18+) meets on Sundays from 6:00pm–9:00pm; TV & Film Acting Class Sundays begins August 10, 2025; Actor Reel Shoots take place October 11–12, 2025; Acting For Teens Mondays starts April 6, 2026; TV & Film Acting Class (Ages 18+) starts July 12, 2026.
• Price: Youth Summer Acting Academy costs $549 per week; Acting For Teens Mondays costs $275 per month; TV & Film Acting Class Sundays costs $325; Actor Reel Shoots cost $455 for 1 scene, $895 for 2 scenes, or $1,295 for 3 scenes; TV & Film Acting Class (Ages 18+) costs $325 per month with a first-month special of $245 for July 2026, with the discount applied at checkout.
Bay Area Acting Studio has been dedicated to teaching actors since 2000, with a curriculum rooted in the Meisner Technique and tailored for TV and film, and it offers workshops featuring top industry insiders from Los Angeles along with a range of classes for adults, teens, and kids. The founder and owner, Christy English, studied directly with Sanford Meisner in his private two-year intensive and ongoing Master Class, has over 20 years of experience, has managed actors for union TV and film in Los Angeles, launched her own management company, and serves as Director of the Youth Division at Kyle Fritz Management in Los Angeles. Instructors and coaches include Ria Pavia, whose film directorial debut Second Team won 16 awards at various festivals and who has directed for Freeform’s Grownish and ABC’s General Hospital and served as Acting Coach on Grownish, Blackish, Disney Descendants: Rise of Red, and other productions; Karen Bethzabe, known for roles including Elena Reyes in Fear the Walking Dead and work in Babylon (2022) and Justine; Patrick Muñoz, an internationally recognized Voice & Speech Coach with nearly a decade as Disney Channel’s go-to coach and degrees from Dartmouth College and Temple University; and Melissa Locsin, who has over 20 years of professional acting and teaching experience, appears in national commercials and the feature film East Side Sushi, and has taught improvisation and acting in multiple children’s programs.
