About
Vision Volleyball Club offers girls’ volleyball through travel and power league teams, a Premier League season, a Girls’ 4th–8th Grade Fall Youth League, and an end-of-the-year tournament. The club also runs Futures and Minis programs, seasonal February and Spring camps, Winter holiday camps, and grade-specific camps for 2nd–3rd graders and 4th–6th graders, along with pre-tryout clinics and a Fall League tryout.
• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: The main club season runs from January to early July with team practices two or three nights each week and tournaments on selected weekends; the Premier League season runs from January through the end of May with practices twice a week; the Girls Fall Youth League runs for eight weeks from August 28 to October 19 with practices twice a week; the Futures program runs year-round in four sessions of 5–8 weeks each.
Established in 1997, Vision Volleyball Club offers competitive travel teams for girls at age levels 11-and-under through 18-and-under, with teams of 11 or 12 players selected through tryouts. For the 2026 season, Vision plans to field 20 travel teams that play in NCVA Power League and USA qualifier tournaments, with NCVA league tournaments held throughout Northern California and national tournaments in a variety of locations. Vision also offers an alternative Premier League season with all events in Santa Clara County and the greater Bay Area, and normally does not offer Premier League teams.
The Girls Fall Youth League is for 4th–8th grade girls, with practices two times a week, and 4th and 5th graders do not need to try out, with registration open until the program is full; priority registration for 6th–8th graders is given to girls who played in the club travel program in 2022–2023. The Futures program is open to anyone interested in playing and can be joined at any time, and the Minis program is designed for girls in 2nd–3rd grade with little or no experience.
Vision states that it trains young athletes in volleyball through practice and competition in a constructive and positive atmosphere, and that the primary goal of the Girls Fall Youth League is player development with a focus on fundamental skills in passing, serving, defense, attacking, and setting in a positive and fun environment. The Futures program is described as introducing and teaching young, beginning players volleyball in a fun and positive environment, and the Minis program is described as a foundational program that introduces players to volleyball fundamentals in a positive and fun environment, with both programs designed for girls in 2nd–6th grade with little or no experience. The club states that it sets a standard for junior club volleyball through its development, professionalism, values, and high standards of player development, and that its coaching philosophy teaches discipline, commitment, responsibility, teamwork, and self-pride.
Vision teams compete with the goal of qualifying for and competing at the USA Junior National Championships, and team results are referenced from 1997–2024. A testimonial from Cassidy Lichtman notes her observation of Vision coaches at every level, describes a tradition of excellence and national-level competition, and states that she would trust Joe Ripp and his staff to help mold the next generation. The club lists Joe Ripp and his staff as people trusted in this role, and general hours are listed as 09:00 am – 05:00 pm.
