Vision Volleyball Club was established in 1997 and lists team results from 1997–2024. For the 2026 season, the club will field 20 travel teams, with teams made up of 11 or 12 players selected through tryouts, and these teams play in NCVA Power League and USA qualifier tournaments with the goal of qualifying for and competing at the USA Junior National Championships. Travel team season for 2026 begins in January and ends in early July, with practices two or three nights each week and tournament play on approximately five weekends for NCVA league play and three or four weekends for national tournaments, including a one-week end-of-the-year tournament in late June or early July. The Premier League season begins in January, concludes at the end of May, and teams practice twice a week, once during the week and once every Sunday, with events held in Santa Clara County and the greater Bay Area and teams participating in either NCVA or AAU Premier League. The Girls Fall Youth League is for 4th–8th grade girls, runs from August 28–October 19 as an eight-week program with two practices per week, and groups players on courts based on skill and experience; 4th and 5th graders do not need to try out, while 6th–8th graders receive priority registration if they played in the 2022–2023 club travel program and additional players are selected based on evaluations at pre-tryout clinics and the Fall League tryout. Vision’s Futures program is a year-round program for girls ages 7–11, open to anyone interested in playing and open to join at any time, broken into Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions that are each 5–8 weeks long, and it introduces and teaches volleyball fundamentals and basics of team play in a fun and positive environment. The Minis program is designed for girls in 2nd–3rd grade with little or no experience, uses drills and games to develop coordination and athletic movements while introducing the rules of the game, and, together with the Futures program, is described as serving 2nd–6th graders with little or no experience and focusing on volleyball fundamentals in a positive and fun environment. The primary stated goal of the Girls Fall Youth League is player development, with a focus on fundamental skills in passing, serving, defense, attacking, and setting in a positive and fun environment, and the 4th–5th grade portion of this league is described as heavily skill-based, reviewing fundamentals each session and adding game play at the end of each session. Vision states that it trains young athletes in volleyball through practice and competition in a constructive and positive atmosphere and describes itself as a girls club that sets a standard for junior club volleyball through its development, professionalism, values, and high standards of player development. The club’s leadership is identified as Joe Ripp and his staff, and one testimonial from Cassidy Lichtman highlights her observations of Vision’s coaching, tradition of excellence, and her trust in Joe Ripp and his staff.
