About

Vision Volleyball Club offers volleyball through travel and power league teams, a Premier League season, a Girls' 4th–8th Grade Fall Youth League, Futures and Minis programs, and summer camps. The program also runs team tryouts, college coaches camps, and grade-specific camps for 2nd–3rd graders and 4th–6th graders.

• Ages: 7–18 years old
• Schedule: The main club season runs from January to early July with team practices two or three nights each week and tournaments on selected weekends; the Premier League season runs from January to the end of May with practices twice a week; the Girls Fall Youth League runs for eight weeks from August 28 to October 19 with practices twice a week; the Futures program runs year-round in four sessions of 5–8 weeks each.

Established in 1997, Vision Volleyball Club offers competitive travel teams for girls at age levels 11-and-under through 18-and-under, with teams made up of 11 or 12 players selected through tryouts. For the 2026 season, Vision plans to field 20 travel teams that play in NCVA Power League and USA qualifier tournaments, with each team competing in an end-of-the-year, one-week tournament in late June or early July. As an alternative to the Power League season, the club also offers a Premier League season in which teams participate in either the NCVA or AAU Premier League, with all Premier League events held in Santa Clara County and the greater Bay Area and NCVA league tournaments held throughout Northern California.

The Girls Fall Youth League is open to girls in 4th–8th grade, with no tryouts required for 4th and 5th graders and priority registration for 6th–8th graders who played in the club travel program in 2022–2023. The Futures program is open to girls ages 7–11 years old, can be joined at any time, and is organized into Winter, Spring, Summer, and Fall sessions that are each 5 to 8 weeks long. The Minis program is for girls in 2nd–3rd grade with little or no experience, and its sessions use drills and games to build coordination and athletic movements while introducing volleyball rules.

According to the club’s mission statement, Vision trains young athletes in volleyball through practice and competition in a constructive and positive atmosphere, with a coaching philosophy that teaches discipline, commitment, responsibility, teamwork, and self-pride. The mission statement also notes that Vision sets a standard for junior club volleyball through its development, professionalism, values, and high standards of player development. The Girls Fall Youth League mission emphasizes player development with a focus on fundamental skills in passing, serving, defense, attacking, and setting in a positive and fun environment, and the Futures and Minis programs are described as focusing on introducing and teaching volleyball fundamentals to young, beginning players in a positive and fun environment.

A testimonial from Cassidy Lichtman describes observing Vision coaches teaching fundamentals, work ethic, and competitive drive at all levels, and notes a tradition of fielding strong teams that compete at the national level. In the same testimonial, Lichtman states that the Vision name and reputation garner respect in the larger volleyball community and specifically mentions trusting Joe Ripp and his staff.
