About
Youth Glass Camps introduces kids to working with glass through hands-on activities in glassblowing, flameworking with borosilicate, flameworking with soft glass, and fusing. Each session lasts a week, and there are multiple sessions for each of these glass disciplines during the summer months.

The Bay Area Glass Institute was founded in 1996 and offers Youth Glass Camps as part of its broader glass-working programs. Its mission is to educate the public about art glass by teaching a variety of glass-working classes, offering free public demonstrations, and bringing in international and locally renowned guest artists to conduct free demonstrations and lectures. BAGI is a recognized 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization and is partially funded by the San Jose Office of Cultural Affairs and supported by SVCreates, in partnership with the County of Santa Clara. BAGI also cosponsors the Great Glass Pumpkin Patch®.
