The Bushikan Budo Kyokai was formed by Franco Sanguinetti Sensei, with the purpose not only to preserve and promote the true essence of the traditional Okinawan martial arts of Goju Ryu Karate and Matayoshi Kobudo, but equally important to implement into society the many moral values that those two arts teach beside the physical aspect of it. The Bushikan Budo Kyokai and Bushikan Karate Dojo list activity history from 2003–2025 and 1986–2026, respectively.
The program notes that it is a proud member of the Autism Society of San Diego and the Council for Exceptional Children. Its work in the USA includes day care level, elementary school level, college level, and private level, as well as after school programs at elementary schools from the San Marcos Unified School District since 1994.
