Callan Swim School

Callan Swim School offers the 8 Step Program Swim Lessons for kids and all ages and abilities, starting as early as 3 months old. The school also offers Adult Swim Classes for ages 18 and older, Semi-Private Swim Lessons with no more than two children per class, and Private Swim Lessons. Swim lessons are offered in series of 8 lessons.

Programs

• 8 Step Program Swim Lessons — As early as 3 months old; for kids and all ages and abilities · Structured 8-step swim program with certified instructors; minimum of 2 days per week is required to progress quickly.
• Adult Swim Classes — 18 and older · Every Tuesday and Thursday · $230 · Each class is 30 minutes long; cost is $230 for 8 classes; no makeups if a class is missed; payment is due on the 8th class for a new series if continuing.
• Semi-Private Swim Lessons — Monday-Friday for day & evening lessons; Saturday morning lessons · $195–$380 · Offered in series of 8 semi-private lesson packages; each class has no more than two children; each lesson is 20 minutes long; $25 registration fee one time per child.
• Private Swim Lessons — Monday-Friday for day & evening lessons; Saturday morning lessons · $365 · Offered in series of 8 lesson packages; each lesson is 20 minutes long; $25 registration fee one time per child.

About the provider

For the last 6 decades, 3 generations of the Callan family have been teaching San Diegans to swim. The school says it uses certified instructors and has 150+ 5-star reviews. Murray Callan was inducted into the inaugural class of the United States Swim School Hall of Fame, and the United States Swim School Association’s annual Teacher of the Year award is named in his honor.

We require a minimum of 2 days per week to make sure your kids are able to progress quickly. Callan Swim School is family owned and operated. If you're unhappy, we're unhappy. Open Monday-Friday for day & evening swimming lessons, and Saturday open for morning swim lessons. There is a $25 registration fee (one time per child).
