Stepping Stones to Learning, LLC has been an integral part of the San Gabriel Valley community for over 50 years and has partnered with local schools, including Chandler School, La Cañada School District, Saint Mark's, and San Marino School District, for over 50 years. The teaching staff consists of instructors with graduate-level training, many of them holding teaching credentials and advanced degrees, and Learning Specialists, Educational Therapists, and Academic Life Coaches all have graduate or doctorate level education in their area of expertise. The leadership team includes Anna K. Hasbun, Owner, Director, and Educational Therapist.

All sessions are always one-to-one and completely individualized, and each student receives 100% of a specially matched tutor, coach, or therapist’s attention. Students are carefully matched with a tutor, educational therapist, or learning specialist best suited to help them reach their individual goals, and programs are adjusted with flexible scheduling to meet students’ changing needs. The program uses individualized programs with no intense intake assessments and no cookie-cutter curriculum, and all Stepping Stones subject tutors receive academic coaching training and help students get organized, prioritize tasks, and make a plan for preparing for tests and projects. Subject tutors, academic life coaches, and educational therapists act as strategic academic mentors focusing on current school success and future independence, and a team-based approach is used where tutors, coaches, therapists, and learning specialists work together and collaborate with family members, school counselors, school psychologists, psychologists, and other therapists. All sessions are supervised through secure and inviting learning centers.

At Stepping Stones, the goal of each educator is to build confidence, instill a love of learning, and teach students to become independent learners, and their aspiration is to ensure that students have the tools necessary to be successful throughout their academic career. Testimonials from parents and school staff describe long-term tutoring support, in-person sessions following Covid safety protocols, scheduling support from the administrative team, and positive experiences with both academic tutoring and The Social Club for kids with developmental disabilities.
