Homework Central

Homework Central offers after-school tutoring and homework assistance. Students visit five days a week for individualized and group tutoring in reading and mathematics, and they also take part in enrichment activities including science, art, humanities and culture, music, and other activities.

About the provider

Homework Central has operated since 1998. It works in partnership with local schools and provides family support free of charge. Family Night events are held two or three times per year and include healthy dinner, enrichment projects, bilingual presentations on community resources and groups, and participation by students, siblings, parents, volunteers, and community members.

Serves students in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grade in the San Mateo-Foster City School District who have been identified as needing additional support outside of school. Primarily serves English-language learners from economically disadvantaged households.
