10th Planet Jiu Jitsu San Mateo offers Brazilian Jiu Jitsu classes, including Adult Brazilian Jiu Jitsu, Junior Jitsu, Mini Jitsu, and Tiny Jitsu. Kids participate in Junior Jitsu for ages 8–14, Mini Jitsu for ages 5–7, and Tiny Jitsu for ages 3–4, with an additional note that Tiny Jitsu is listed as ages 3–5 with parent participation required. The program offers beginner and advanced classes for the entire family in a supportive, structured environment, with beginner-friendly classes for men, women, and children.

World-class instructors lead the classes, and the coaches are certified black belts and world champion competitors. Founder, owner, and head instructor Adam Sachnoff is a 2nd-degree black belt who trained under world-renowned coach and 10th Planet founder Eddie Bravo, and he has over a decade of experience. Each instructor is described as a high-level martial artist, many with championship backgrounds, and kids classes are run by Coach Ian Sulcer, who was awarded his black belt by Coach Adam in June 2025 after nearly a decade of dedicated training. Adam holds 3 world championships, has appeared in FloGrappling’s Top 10 No-Gi HeavyWeight Rankings, and has titles and placements including 1st place at the ADCC North American Trials 2012, 1st place at the submission-only Onnit Invitational, a team title at Quintet 2 in Japan, 2nd place at IBJJF No-Gi Worlds Masters 2023 (Ultra Heavy), and 2nd place at IBJJF No-Gi Worlds Masters 2 2024 (Super Heavy). In 2012, Adam received the 10th Planet Association’s highest honor, the 10th Planet Nibiru Warrior of the Year Award.
