10th Planet Jiu Jitsu San Mateo

10th Planet Jiu Jitsu San Mateo offers Tiny Jitsu, Mini Jitsu, Junior Jitsu, Kids Competition Class, and Brazilian Jiu Jitsu. Tiny Jitsu is for ages 3-5 and meets Mon & Wed at 4:00 PM or Tue & Thu at 3:00 PM for 30 minutes. Mini Jitsu is for ages 6-9 and meets Mon & Wed at 5:00 PM or Tue & Thu at 4:00 PM for 45 minutes. Junior Jitsu is for ages 10-15 and meets Mon & Wed at 6:00 PM or Tue & Thu at 5:00 PM for 45 minutes. Kids Competition Class is for ages 6-15 and meets Friday at 5:00 PM.

About the provider

The leadership team includes Adam Sachnoff, Owner and Head Instructor, and Ian Sulcer, Kids Instructor. Adam Sachnoff is a 2nd-degree black belt under Eddie Bravo, with over a decade of experience. He has won multiple Brazilian Jiu Jitsu championships, competed at the world championship level, and has 3 world championships. He received the 10th Planet Association’s highest honor, the 10th Planet Nibiru Warrior of the Year Award, in 2012. Ian Sulcer was awarded his black belt by Coach Adam in June 2025 after nearly a decade of training. The mission statement says: Build confidence, grow skill sets, and achieve personal goals on and off the mat.

Beginner-friendly classes for adults and kids. Free trials are for local residents who are new to the academy, one per person. Visiting from out of town can use day passes; day passes are $40. A $150 one-time enrollment fee applies to all new memberships. Month-to-month memberships require 7 days' written notice to pause or cancel; any payment that processes within that window is final and non-refundable. Paid-in-full memberships are non-refundable. Family discounts do not stack with paid-in-full discounts.
