Before & Afterschool Programs

Before & Afterschool Programs are part of the YMCA of Greater San Francisco’s before and after school care offerings for kids and teens. The programs operate within the YMCA of Greater San Francisco association, which describes its culture as cause-driven and focused on strengthening community.

For more than 170 years, the YMCA of Greater San Francisco has operated as a community organization, having been established during the Gold Rush in 1853. Its mission is to empower each person’s journey and strengthen the foundations of community. The YMCA of Greater San Francisco is described as one of the area’s largest community service organizations, serving more than 130,000 people through 15 neighborhood branches, more than 130 program sites, and one residential camp across Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo Counties.
