MarinMOCA’s mission is connecting North Bay communities through exploration of the bold ideas that inspire today’s leading artists. MarinMOCA showcases renowned local, regional, and national artists who offer fresh visions of place, person, and planet, and is described as a community anchor and an integrated cultural hub that catalyzes collaborations that elevate the North Bay’s singular creative spirit and demonstrate art’s power to shape a shared future.
The organization’s leadership includes Executive Director Jodi Roberts, Program Manager Mary Coman, Assistant Curator & Marketing Manager Asha McGee, Development Manager Lucy Churton, Finance Manager Joan Nelson, Exhibitions Manager Emerson Narciso, and Strategic Advisor Maureen Keefe, along with a Board of Directors and an Advisory Council. Partners, programming partners, and sponsors include organizations such as Alonzo King Lines Ballet at Dominican University of California, Canal Alliance, Marin School of the Arts, Marin County Free Library, Marin Theatre Company, Youth in Arts, Bank of Marin, Marin Community Foundation, and others. One MarinMOCA member, Diane Green, states that being a MarinMOCA member is more than viewing art and that exhibitions and public events challenge assumptions about the shared world, and that at MarinMOCA she always feels part of something that matters.
