Group Swim Lessons is a group-based swimming program. Participants take part in Group Swim Lessons as part of the YMCA of Greater San Francisco’s health and wellness offerings, which also include a pool, Y-Kids childcare, and a range of programs and classes. The program is part of a facility that includes indoor pools, a gymnasium, and multipurpose rooms.

For more than 170 years, the YMCA of Greater San Francisco has served individuals and families, having been established during the Gold Rush in 1853. Its mission is to empower each person’s journey and strengthen the foundations of community. The organization is described as leading the community in wellness and youth development and serves more than 130,000 people through 15 neighborhood branches, more than 130 program sites, and one residential camp across Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo Counties. One team member shares, “The Y is a welcoming place for the community. I enjoy working here and love hearing about how the Y has played a role in the lives of everyone I meet at work and within the community.”
