Kid Dance Brigade After-School Program

Kid Dance Brigade After-School Program is a dance party with fun and easy to follow dance routines to contemporary music. Kids dance to songs such as Chihuahua, What The Fox Says, and Thriller as part of the program’s regular activities.

• Ages: 5–11 years old

KDB After-School Program has been running from 2008 to the present. The program is led by Professional Dancer Tom Mayock, also known as Mr. Tom, who has retired from Zumba and returned to teaching ballet and contemporary dance. As a Teaching Artist, he is contracted to SFartsED, with past relationships with Young Imaginations, Youth in Arts, and Let’s All Dance. One testimonial describes Tom as a “professional, responsible and innovative artist teacher and administrator” and “one the hardest working in our industry who really cares about his students,” from Miya Hisaka of El Teatro de Danza Contemporanea. Another testimonial from Jennifer Gadiel of Jennifer Gadiel Design LLC says that “Tom has a wonderful approach with kids to get them moving, grooving and having fun,” and notes that his after-school program is highly popular and that the performances give all his students a chance to shine.
