Summer Camp & Outdoor Programs offers full-day and overnight camp options. The program includes traditional and specialty camps that focus on sports, arts, STEM, and outdoor activities. Sessions start as early as June 8th at multiple YMCA branches across Marin, San Francisco, San Mateo, and at Camp Jones Gulch in the redwoods.

For more than 170 years, the YMCA of Greater San Francisco has operated as a charitable community organization, established during the Gold Rush in 1853. Its mission is to empower each person’s journey and strengthen the foundations of community. The YMCA of Greater San Francisco serves more than 130,000 people through 15 neighborhood branches, more than 130 program sites, and one residential camp across Marin, San Francisco, and San Mateo Counties. The organization supports physical health, mental wellness, social connection, and economic opportunity, and maintains Employee Resource Groups including the African American Resource Network, Asian Pacific Islander Leadership Network, LGBTQ Employee Resource Group, Latinx Employee Resource Group, and Women’s Leadership Network. One staff member describes the Y as a welcoming place for the community and notes hearing how the Y has played a role in the lives of people they meet at work and in the community.
