Happy Panda Kids states its mission as “Language, Culture & Academic Growth – All in One Place” and describes its Chinese after-school program as a well-rounded learning experience for students from TK to middle school that combines Mandarin language immersion, homework help, academic support, and enrichment activities. The program uses a Chinese curriculum based on Youerhanyu (幼儿汉语) with thematic studies such as family, food, animals, and holidays and an emphasis on speaking, listening, and cultural engagement for younger children. For 1st–5th graders, it uses the Chinese Made Easy for Kids series with a focus on reading, writing, speaking, listening, and cultural elements such as calligraphy, traditions, and history, and for middle school students it uses Integrated Chinese and AP Chinese materials with an emphasis on reading, writing, advanced vocabulary, culture-based learning, and project work.

Happy Panda Kids notes that it offers Mandarin classes that help children speak, read, and write Chinese with confidence, with small class sizes, interactive lessons, native Mandarin teachers, and a focus on pinyin, character writing, and conversational practice for real-life use. The After School Mandarin Program is described as a comprehensive afterschool program combining Mandarin language learning with daily homework help and academic support across subjects, and as a nurturing after school experience combining Chinese immersion, academic readiness, and hands-on enrichment. The program also offers early bird and new student discounts, a free trial class, and states that summer camps, after school, and all classes are enrolling.

Happy Panda Kids was founded in 2018 and has been serving families in San Ramon, Tri-Valley, and the East Bay. The founder, Lin, leads Happy Panda Kids Education and is described as a passionate educator with over 10 years of experience teaching Mandarin Chinese. The program states that it takes pride in a team of dedicated and experienced educators who create engaging and supportive environments, that every child is unique and not just one in a crowd, and that it has helped many children across the Bay Area learn Mandarin, excel academically, and connect with their cultural heritage.

Parent testimonials describe Lin as fully prepared, patient, hard-working, kind, professional, and energetic, and note that she uses lesson books, projects, workbooks, websites, videos, songs, games, and arts and crafts in an interactive way. Families report that their children are engaged during lessons, enjoy the after school and summer camp Mandarin programs, experience small class sizes and individual attention, and use pinyin, speaking practice, and writing in their learning. Multiple parents state that their children come home singing Chinese songs, showing their writing, and using Mandarin phrases at home, and that the atmosphere is warm and welcoming.
