Little Scholars Nest Preschool and Afterschool

Little Scholars Nest Preschool and Afterschool offers a part-time preschool program and a full-time preschool program that include activities such as Circle Time, Academics Jam, Reading Time, Outdoor Playtime, Nap Time, Afternoon Snack Time, and Evening Activity Time. The program also offers optional weekly gymnastics on Fridays through California Gymnastics and weekly dance classes on Wednesdays through Aaja Nachale Let’s Dance School, which end the year with a stage performance at their annual show.

Little Scholars Nest Preschool and Afterschool has been providing early education and childcare to families in the San Ramon Valley since 2007 and has been serving the community for over 19 years, with a newly built facility that reopened in August 2021. The preschool is licensed by the State of California under License Number 073419218, and the program states that the early years of a child’s life are the most significant period, as this is when the foundation is laid for the overall development of the individual. The preschool program is described as a blend of the Montessori way of learning and an academic-based environment, and the program notes a path from Preschool to Pre-Kindergarten to After School, including welcoming TK and kindergarten after-school students from Live Oak Elementary. The program provides organic breakfast, lunch, and evening snacks cooked daily in a full-service preschool kitchen, offers plant-based milk options through an Almond Cow, uses non-toxic cookware from Caraway and non-toxic, BPA-free utensils from The Saturday Baby, and includes outdoor-indoor architecture elements with a preschool garden and fruit trees on site.

Preschool program is a unique blend of the Montessori way of learning and an academic based environment; extended care begins at 1:00 pm as transition from part-time to full-time; naptime is optional with an hour of rest time as an alternative; you can opt out of the meal plan for a tuition deduction of $50.00 per month; we welcome TK/K after-school students from Live Oak Elementary; programs offered: Preschool, Pre-K, After School.
