About
Nuh’s Ark is a play-based preschool program for Muslim children and their families. The program name was chosen in honor of Prophet Nuh (peace be upon him) from the Islamic tradition. Nuh’s Ark aims to be a safe haven for Islamic values, etiquettes, and lessons, and it is intended for families who limit their children’s exposure to media and who embrace opportunities for their child to get dirty. It is also intended for families who prioritize the protection and nurturing of their children’s hearts, value adab, kindness, and good character, and desire a deep spiritual connection with Allah for their children.
Nuh’s Ark states that it is much more than a simple childcare or preschool program and that its intention is to nurture a cohort of children who see each other and their teachers as family, learning, eating, cleaning, and exploring together. The founder of Nuh’s Ark is Kiran Adnan, who is an experienced preschool teacher and parent. She has received her Early Childhood Education from Diablo Valley College, which included working in the Diablo Valley College Early Childhood lab.
