Tri-Valley Basketball is a premier AAU basketball club led by Directors and Head Coaches Ken Williams and Mike Hansen, who bring over 50 years of combined coaching experience and come from a high school program with multiple North Coast Section titles and CIF State Playoff appearances. The organization offers a clear, structured path that emphasizes positive coaching, skill development, and enjoyment of the game, with age-based programs recommended for grades 1–5, 6–8, and 9–12. Elementary-age sessions focus on foundation, confidence, and fun; the middle school program emphasizes skill development and game IQ; and high school and post-grad training focuses on elite preparation, exposure, and results. The mission of Tri-Valley Basketball states that coaching is about mentorship, mindset, and building character, and several athletes who trained with Tri-Valley have gone on to earn college scholarships and roster spots on NCAA teams.

Coach Ken Williams has over 30 years of coaching experience, including more than 20 years in high school athletics, and has been on the Dougherty Valley High School varsity coaching staff for the past 12 years, during which the program has won over 200 games, multiple league championships, and several North Coast Section titles, along with multiple league titles, league tournament championships, sectional championships, and state tournament appearances over his career. Coach Mike Hansen is the head basketball coach for the Dougherty Valley High School Wildcats and has been with the program since the school opened in 2007, with previous coaching experience at Ygnacio Valley High School, California State University East Bay, Chabot Junior College, and with the Jilin Northeast Tigers in China. Under his leadership, Dougherty Valley achieved its first-ever CIF North Coast Section Open Division title, and he has been named the 2023 Cal-Hi Sports State Coach of the Year and the 2024 Bay Area boys' basketball Coach of the Year.

Parent and player testimonials describe athletes gaining confidence and focus, playing smarter and stronger by middle school, preparing for the next level through intense training that led to college recruitment, learning accountability and work ethic, making varsity teams, and pursuing scholarships, as well as parents viewing the program as an investment in their children’s future that includes mindset, leadership, and skills.
