For the Children Santa Ana is a chapter of For the Children that provides programs and services to combat family-induced childhood trauma with positive memories and positive adult relationships through camp, mentoring, and advocacy. For the Children Santa Ana was founded in 2021 to serve the children of central Orange County facing family-induced childhood trauma, and the Santa Ana team launched a new camp in 2022. As of November 2020, Royal Family KIDS officially became For The Children, which has allowed expansion into advocacy, awareness, fostering and adoption, volunteer engagement, and more. Royal Family KIDS Camp remains the flagship program, alongside year-round mentoring, and For the Children Santa Ana also connects with community partners to support resource families and youth in foster care. The organization states that it stands on the front lines of child abuse, abandonment, and neglect and that it believes all children should have family, safety, rights, and a future.
The leadership team for Royal Family KIDS Camp – For The Children Santa Ana includes Co-Camp Directors Rebecca Fraticelli-Stephens and Susan Hastings, Mentoring Director Jennifer Taylor, and Mentoring Directors Will and Emily Neddersen.
