About
Junior Golf Camps focuses on learning the game of golf and improving overall golf knowledge. Campers work on improving course etiquette, fundamentals, and their swing during each session.
• Ages: 7–14 years old
• Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 a.m.–12:00 p.m., with 2026 sessions offered June 15–19, July 13–17, and August 10–14
• Price: $195.00 per child, per camp
Junior Golf Camps is led by Head Golf Professional Justin Hight, PGA. The leadership team includes Randy Shannon, PGA, General Manager; Justin Hight, PGA, Head Golf Professional; Ryan McKay, Superintendent; and Tina Nelson, Parks Recreation Business Manager. Santa Barbara Golf Club, where the camps take place, was voted best Golf Course in the Best of Santa Barbara Readers’ Poll 2015. The course is an Enterprise Fund that irrigates the vast majority of turf areas with recycled water and is a member of the Southern California Municipal Golf Association. Santa Barbara Golf Club is home to the Upper Las Positas Creek restoration project, which uses native plants and storm water retention basins to filter pollution from the creek while providing wetland habitat for local wildlife.
