About
Lights Up! Theatre Company offers Singing & Dancing for Musical Theatre Class, Improv Camp, Musical Theatre Camp, Musical Theatre Workshop, All-Company Musical, Advanced Company Musical, and Acting Intensive Workshop. The Singing & Dancing for Musical Theatre Class runs Wednesdays 4:00-5:30 PM from Oct. 7 to Nov. 11 and costs $350. The summer camps and workshops include Improv Camp for rising 6th-8th graders, Musical Theatre Camp for rising 6th-8th graders, and Musical Theatre Workshop for rising 9th-12th graders.

- Musical Theatre Workshop — Rising 9th-12th graders · Mon-Fri 2:00 PM-6:00 PM, Jun 22-Jul 3, 2026 · $700 · Two-week summer workshop; single-week participation option available for Week 1 only at $450; scholarships and payment plans available.
- All-Company Musical — Ages 12+ · 2026-2027 season production; Junior Company members ages 9-11 will perform in select ensemble scenes.
- Advanced Company Musical — High school actors & older · 2026-2027 season production; casting guaranteed for company members in 9th grade and up; audition process also open to younger actors for select roles and ensemble.
- Acting Intensive Workshop — Ages 12+ · 2026-2027 season offering.

About the provider
Lights Up! Theatre Company was founded in 2018. Amy Love is the Artistic Director. The program says it provides professional training and performance experience in a nurturing environment and offers a secure and accepting theatrical home for developing performers, while challenging them with professional acting, singing, and dance training. It is widely recognized in Santa Barbara as a place where teenagers of all backgrounds and life experiences feel safe and seen.
Summer program enrollment is open to anyone in the age group specified for each; prior Lights Up! experience or company membership not required. Conservatory classes do not require an assessment or audition. Company membership not required for the Fall Conservatory class. Scholarships and payment plans available for summer programs.
