Mr. Rob's Place offers a Summer Adventure Program where kids spend their days exploring, building friendships, hanging with friends, playing baseball, drawing, and doing academic refreshers in reading, writing, and math. Activities include visiting beaches along the coast, trips to Solvang, Buellton, and Carp, checking out new parks, hiking the hills, and finding hidden spots like the secret pond at Westmont, the Franceschi Park statue, and Lizard's Mouth secret cave. The program also features The Bus as part of camp imagery and activities, and campers wear camp hats made by Jimmy J.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Summer Adventure Program runs June 23–Aug 8, 9am–4pm
• Price: Incoming K–6th graders $350/week or $325/week if 4 or more weeks are scheduled; Winter Camp for current TK–6th graders $65/day per student
Snacks are provided in the morning and afternoon for both the Summer Adventure Program and Winter Camp, and families send a sack lunch or lunch from home. Children are to be picked up by 4:00pm for the Summer Adventure Program and by 4:30pm for Winter Camp, and there is a $10 fee for every 10 minutes a child is picked up late from the Summer Adventure Program. Sign ups are in person, first come, first serve, and campers are locked into spots with no wait list for summer, and scholarship and income sensitive rates are available by email.
Mr. Rob's Place is owned and directed by Rob Lauderdale, with staff mentioned including Mr. Owen, Ms. L, Andrea, Owen, and Rob. The program was formerly known as Daddy Daycare SB and offers Winter Camp called “Snow Week at VV,” which includes snow activities such as art, science, and academic practice.
