Summer’s Cool @ The REEF is a summer camp for children ages 9 to 12 years old. It includes a T-Shirt, Diploma, Bumper Sticker, and "Best Summer Ever!" The camp runs Monday through Friday from 9:00am to 5:00pm and costs a flat $425.

About the provider
The program is led by UCSB scientists and undergraduates, UCSB student docents, and REEF Director Scott Simon. Its mission is to explore and learn at the REEF and the Marine Science Institute at UCSB, with a week spent investigating the wonders of the sea and the Santa Barbara Channel. The classes include time for children to explore, experience, and observe Our Maritime Community while engaging in Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math.
Campers will not be able to participate without signed waivers. Registrations are open. One camper at a time may be added during registration. All campers must be signed in and out every day by an authorized adult. Any adult picking up a camper must provide identification. Parent/guardian cannot remain during camp hours. Child-to-adult ratio is 5 children:1 adult. Refund policy: 75% if requested two months prior; 50% if requested one month prior. Masks are optional for classes.
