Sunrise Montessori School offers STARS Group for ages 2 to 3 1/2 with Indoor Classroom Time and Outdoor Time. It also offers SUNS Group for ages 3 to 5 1/2 with a Montessori curriculum that includes Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Geography, Science, Art, and Music. Afternoon Classes are offered for children age 4 and older who no longer need nap time, with in-depth studies.

  • STARS Group — ages 2-3 1/2 · Indoor Classroom Time, then Outdoor Time; Half Day 8:45 am-12:00 noon; Lunch Day 8:45 am-12:50 pm; Full Day 8:45 am-3:00 pm; Extended Care 3:00 pm-5:30 pm · Youngest students; quiet, home-like feel; activities designed to spark interest, intellect, curiosity, social growth, and physical, intellectual, and social skills.
  • SUNS Group — ages 3 to 5 1/2 · Indoor Classroom Time, then Outdoor Time; Half Day 8:45 am-12:00 noon; Lunch Day 8:45 am-12:50 pm; Full Day 8:45 am-3:00 pm; Extended Care 3:00 pm-5:30 pm · Student-driven Montessori curriculum including Practical Life, Sensorial, Language, Math, Geography, Science, Art & Music.
  • Afternoon Classes — 4 years and older who no longer need nap time · 1:00 pm-3:00 pm; Mondays & Wednesdays, Tuesdays & Fridays, Thursdays · Additional in-depth studies; students must be able to focus and follow directions for the duration of the two-hour class.

About the provider

Sunrise Montessori School first dawned in 1976 and celebrates its 50th year in 2026. Its mission is to provide a Montessori education that nurtures intellectual, social, physical, creative, and moral growth, preparing confident students for academic excellence, lifelong learning, and compassionate, responsible lives. The leadership team includes Felicia Danon North, Director & Owner, along with Edvin Nunez Vasquez, Julissa, and Kimberly Reeder.

Teacher to student ratio below the California state maximum of 1 teacher to 6 students. Afternoon Classes are available for students who no longer need a nap and are at least 4 years old.
