About
Children & Youth Religious Education offers weekly catechism classes through the Our Lady of Peace Religious Education program. Books are given to students on the first day of catechism, and all classes are in English.
• Schedule: Classes meet once a week, with catechism office hours available on Tuesdays and Thursdays from 6:30pm to 8:15pm, Wednesdays from 4:00pm to 5:30pm, and Saturdays from 9:00am to 10:45am. The first week of catechism classes begins on September 16, 2025.
• Price: The registration fee is $100 for First Holy Communion, Continuing Education, RCIA, and Post Confirmation classes, and $150 for Confirmation classes. Families with three or more children pay a maximum of $300.
The program’s mission is to form children, youth, and adults in the Catholic faith through a solid, integral, and thorough education faithful to the Magisterium of the Church, with the goal of guiding not only individuals but entire families towards Heaven for the rest of their lives. Financial difficulties should never prevent a child or youth from attending the catechism program. Sister Izamal is listed as the contact for more information about the catechism program, and Sr. Maria Virgin de Izamal is associated with children’s religious education. Families are asked to come to the catechism office with a copy of the birth, baptism, and First Communion certificate.
