About

Run Your City is a 6-week sports program where kids take part in sports, team-based practices, and races. The program is run by college student-athletes with guidance from the Run Your City (RYC) team.

• Ages: 5–13 years old
• Schedule: Two seasons (Spring and Fall) with 6 weekly, 1-hour sessions; next start date Sunday, March 29, 2026, from 2–3PM
• Price: free sports season

Run Your City was founded in 2018 at the University of Virginia. The Santa Clara, California chapter is led by Santa Clara University student-athletes. The leadership team includes Kaden Helder (Co-President), Audrey O'Neill (Co-President), Sarah Guralnick (Treasurer), Sigrid Brakenhielm (Impact), Sydney Lim (Public Relations / Social Media), Isabella Gonzalez (Season Planning), Milaina Almonte (Community Engagement), and Grace Winkler (Donor / Sponsor Relations). The organization has 49 chapters across U.S. universities, serving more than 4,000 kids per season, and three international programs in Bugesera, Rwanda; Ogun, Nigeria; and Kochi, India, serving over 1,000 kids annually. Run Your City hosts free, team-based practices and races for kids of all abilities and targets locations with highest socioeconomic needs and creates opportunities for kids with disabilities. Across its programs, Run Your City uses sports to address barriers in health, development, and education for vulnerable youth and introduces children to sports in a supportive environment to build teamwork, confidence, and health.
