About

Creators Basketball is a youth travel basketball program that includes basketball practices, strength and conditioning, scrimmages in game-like scenarios, and monthly high-level basketball tournaments. Players participate in youth travel basketball and are expected to take part in an average of two tournaments per month during the six-month seasons.

• Schedule: Practices are currently on Monday, Wednesday, and Thursday, with players practicing two to three days weekly; Wednesday practices include strength and conditioning followed by scrimmages, and trials begin at the top of the final week of every month.
• Price: Registration is $300, which covers a Nike reversible game jersey and game shorts and a Nike reversible practice jersey and practice short; monthly plans are $240 for the 3 Day Practice Plan and $215 for the 2 Day Practice Plan, and tournament cost depends on the number of players attending and the total cost of the tournament.

Head coaches of the program are Travis Divita, Taylor Statham, Alec Berryman, and Ron Harris. Coach Taylor Statham is a current professional basketball player overseas and has been training players for years. Coach Travis Divita is a former college basketball player with multiple professional basketball contract offers overseas, majored in Kinesiology with a Physical Therapy Emphasis, and received his Personal Training Certification through the National Academy of Sports Medicine; he specializes in biomechanics and their application to sport. Coach Alec Berryman is a former collegiate basketball player who also spent time playing in Spain. Coach Ron Harris is a former collegiate basketball player and has been coaching for several years.

The program’s mission states that each player must be a creator who can create opportunities, driving lanes, paths, and shots for themselves and others, and that players must understand they must create their future on and off the court. The mission explains that creating is an action that begins in the mind and then is translated into reality, and that a player’s mentality shapes their vision of becoming an athletic, skilled player without holes in their game who can play any style and in any role. Creators Basketball includes strength and conditioning practices that focus on biomechanics and conditioning, and it provides education to players to increase athleticism and reduce risk of injury, including tendonitis and tendinosis, with a stated goal of teaching fundamental archetypes of human movement to create explosive athletes that do not get injured.

Creators Basketball is described as an elite youth travel basketball organization based in the Santa Clarita Valley that competes in monthly high-level tournaments throughout Orange County, Los Angeles County, and Ventura County. The program has a policy effective February 1st, 2025 that prevents players from participating with AAU organizations within the city of Santa Clarita, with removal from the program for failure to comply. A free week trial is offered for prospective players, and trials begin at the top of the final week of every month. Registration covers Nike reversible game and practice jerseys and shorts with program logos, and the practice jersey must be worn to every practice. Payment methods accepted are Apple Pay using Coach Travis’ phone number, Zelle to [email protected], personal check made out to Creators Basketball, and cash.

Partners include Statham Academy, Speed Shutter Imagery, and Blackboard Impressions, and Statham Academy provides elite basketball training through professional basketball player Taylor Statham within the Santa Clarita Valley.
