Santa Cruz City Youth Soccer Club offers competitive soccer leagues, recreational soccer leagues, soccer teams, and futsal. The club offers programs in the fall, winter, and spring, with the recreational program operating in the fall and in winter as futsal. Players are grouped into divisions based on year of birth, starting at age 4, and teams are created based on a format that resembles the school year age.
• Ages: 4–14 years old
• Schedule: Fall 2026 Recreation Season begins at the end of August, with the first games after Labor Day, runs approximately 10 weeks, with teams practicing 1–2 times per week and playing one game per weekend
• Price: $100 off your child's enrollment if you coach.
Santa Cruz City Youth Soccer Club was established in 1982. It is a volunteer-led, not-for-profit community organization and non-profit that depends on volunteer coaches. Coaches receive support from the club’s Recreational Coordinator and Board, can choose the school, day, and time of practice, and receive $100 off their child's enrollment. Players are provided with a full uniform for the season, including jersey, shorts, and long socks, and families are responsible for purchasing soccer cleats and shin guards, which are required for play.
The club’s goal is to keep registration costs low so that programming is accessible to all community members and their children. Registration fees alone do not cover all of the club's costs, and donations are encouraged to support the scholarship program and soccer equipment. The club offers sponsorship opportunities for small businesses through a “Sponsor a Rec team” option with logos on team jerseys, a scholarship program for graduating high school seniors, and a scholarship program for players via the SCCYSC Scholarship Form/Formulario de beca.
