About
X Academy is a program that draws inspiration from Math Circles in Silicon Valley. It has hosted six Julia Robinson Math Festivals and has achieved recognition through its robotics team in various competitions. The program operates as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization.
• Ages: 3–15 years old
Founded in 2014, X Academy is led by a team including Tim Sylvester, the Founder, and Barbara Meister, the Co-founder. The program also involves Brianna Donaldson as the Director of Special Projects, Jennifer Gill as a GATE Intervention Teacher, and Tim Madsen as a parent leader. X Academy collaborates with the Santa Cruz County Office of Education to engage with the community.
