Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast offers activities such as jewelry making, STEAM programs, sponsored arts programs, and sports programs. The program includes help with homework and provides healthy daily snacks as part of its afterschool child development programming.

Since the first doors opened in 1966, Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast has provided programs for local youth and has expanded to two counties and 11 Clubs with more than 1,500 registered youth members. The organization also benefits an additional 4,000 local children each year through outreach, including sponsored arts and sports programs, and oversees a budget of nearly $6 million raised from individual and corporate contributions, foundation and government grants, special events, and program service contracts. Its programs are designed to achieve priority outcomes for lifetime success in three main areas: Education, Character, and Health.
Boys & Girls Clubs of Mid Central Coast supports all youth and teens of every race, ethnicity, gender, gender expression, sexual orientation, ability, socio-economic status, and religion in reaching their full potential. Other demographic data shows that 85% of members are Hispanic where Spanish is the predominant language spoken in the home, 70% qualify for English Learner support in school, approximately 33% come from single parent homes, and approximately 90% qualify for free or reduced meal programs during the school year based upon state and federal guidelines. Additional data shows that 55% of members are male and 45% are female, with 17% teenagers and 83% ages 6–12. Afterschool programs are linked to improved academic success and a proven reduction in risky behaviors by youth and teens who participate in them, and 57% of alumni say the Club saved their life.
