Give Kids Art offers art programming that includes workshops, one-time workshops, volunteer-led art days, employee workshops, custom on-site workshops, and interactive art tables at resource fairs and community events. The program provides free art programming, workshops, and supplies to support social emotional development in underserved children. It also equips youth organizations with supplies, training, and a Social Emotional Learning-based curriculum to offer weekly art programming, and provides Art Kits filled with brand-new art supplies delivered in signature blue bags.

• Schedule: Office hours Monday–Friday 9am–5pm and Saturday 10am–5pm
Give Kids Art’s mission is to ignite creative exploration and artistic self-expression, raise awareness of the value of creative expression, and promote its positive impact on social, emotional, and cognitive wellness. The program states that it believes everyone deserves the opportunity to fearlessly discover, explore, and empower their innate artistic self, and that it aims to help participants develop stronger self-awareness, self-compassion, and creative self-care practices that they can carry through life to be more joyful, innovative, and emotionally-intelligent members of society.
Give Kids Art works with fellow non-profits to bring creativity directly to the communities they serve, including curriculum partnerships with The Academy Project and the Santa Monica Boys & Girls Club. The program partners with corporations for volunteer-led art days, co-branded fundraising campaigns, and sponsorships, and hosts interactive art tables at resource fairs and community events. Non-profit partnerships can include donated Art Kits, Social Emotional Learning-informed process art curriculum with staff training, and custom on-site workshops.
Erica Curtis is a Board Certified Art Therapist. One curriculum partner, The Academy Project, shared that “the program was such a success: the kids loved it… the curriculum was interesting and varied and everything just fell into place.” Another curriculum partner, the Santa Monica Boys & Girls Club, shared that since partnering with Give Kids Art, they have watched their members gain confidence, curiosity, and social skills through every project and observed that participants are “not just creating art; they’re discovering their voices and supporting one another.”
