Kids & Teen Camps and Classes at The Gourmandise School include Baking and Cooking Camps with hands-on culinary experiences where students mix, knead, sauté, and bake. The program also offers Parent & Child classes, a knife skills class, a Jams, Preserves and Pickles class, and a DIY Pizza, Calzones & Craft Beer experience.
• Ages: 6–18 years old
• Schedule: Beginning June 15, Baking and Cooking Camps run as immersive weeklong camps, with morning, afternoon, and evening classes offered 7 days a week; Parent & Child classes are 2.5 hours long.
• Price: The first 90 minutes of parking are free, $2.00 for the next hour, and between $2.00–$3.00 for each additional 30 minutes, with valet parking offered for a flat rate of $25.
Since opening in 2011, The Gourmandise School has offered hands-on, technique-driven cooking and baking classes for adults, teens, and kids at any skill level, including immersive weeklong kids and teen summer camps where students work in pairs with a focus on teamwork, organization, and responsibility. Chef-instructors are highly pedigreed and come from some of the country’s top restaurants and culinary schools. The school is a women-owned and operated recreational cooking school whose mission is to teach the art of cooking and baking through hands-on experiences and to help students develop their culinary intuition while promoting the use of locally sourced, sustainable ingredients. The Gourmandise School also offers Parent & Child classes for ages 6–11, custom culinary private events including birthday parties and team-building events, and an online Gift Shop with curated premium baking and cooking kits.
The leadership team includes Sabrina Ironside, President; Michele Morken, Vice President, Human Resource & Finance Administration; and Karrie Martz, Events Manager, Retail Manager & Buyer. The Gourmandise School promotes the use of locally sourced, sustainable ingredients.
