Flying Angels Gymnastics

Flying Angels Gymnastics offers gymnastics and movement education classes where children practice skills such as cartwheels, rolls, balance, swinging, and going upside-down. Classes use small groups and specialized equipment, and children move through obstacle courses and fitness stations during lessons. The program also offers Flying Angels Gymnastics Birthday Party events and Flying Angels Gymnastics field trips to preschools or elementary schools.

Flying Angels Gymnastics joins experienced gymnastics instructors with local schools, preschools, and daycare centers, using proven learning steps and innovative “brain challenges” in its lessons. The program states that its lessons support the collaboration between a young child’s brain and body and directly support the educational goals of preschools and elementary schools. It offers a free trial class for schools and notes that parents drive less, pay less, and stress less because classes are held at school.

Founder Steve Sassone has been a professional instructor since 1981 and is Kinder-Accredited and Safety Certified through USA Gymnastics. The leadership team includes Steve Sassone, Nancy Rush (Director of Pre School Gymnastics at Rohnert Park Gymnastics and former coach at Redwood Empire Gymnastics), and Jenny Martinez (Coach Jen, coach at Flying Angels Gymnastics). Steve Sassone also serves as Director of the Northbay office of Kidpower, an internationally recognized child safety program that focuses on “People Safety” skills for children and families.
