Mike Hauser Academy is a three-week summer school program where students visit STEM related companies. During the program, students interact with engineers and professionals, observe demonstrations, and participate in hands-on activities to see how classroom lessons apply to STEM occupations and operations.

The award-winning Mike Hauser Academy (MHA) is a county-wide program in partnership with Santa Rosa City Schools. It provides incoming 9th grade English Language Learner (ELL) students and students who could benefit from extra math and science support the opportunity to visit STEM related companies and take part in direct learning experiences and practical application for STEM concepts. The program’s mission is to convene students, businesses and teachers, empowering the future workforce to become leaders in science, technology, engineering and mathematics. The Chamber has released a program report on the 2022 session of the Mike Hauser Academy for Science, Technology, Engineering and Math (STEM) that includes survey findings, student quotes, and alumni success stories.
