Mixed Greens Preschool

Mixed Greens Preschool is a mixed-age, green-thinking preschool that focuses on creation of environmentally healthy early learning environments. The program offers a fun, engaging, nurturing, and constantly evolving environment for children, with an emphasis on green-thinking practices and environmental awareness. Mixed Greens Preschool has received national endorsement as an Eco-Healthy Child Care Facility and has been recognized as Best of 2012–2023.

Mixed Greens Preschool states a mission of providing explorative learning opportunities to blossoming minds, employing current theories in brain development research, while providing a loving, nurturing, and safe place to play and grow. The program maintains mixed-age groupings within a green-thinking environment with the stated goal of creating holistic and compassionate environmental stewards who are ready and able to take care of themselves, each other, and their world. The program notes 11 years and counting of recognition as Best of 2012–2023.

Mixed Greens Preschool holds membership in the Association for Environmental and Outdoor Education, an organization that focuses on inspiring learners to understand, appreciate, and care for their environment. The program’s credentials include membership in this association, national endorsement as an Eco-Healthy Child Care Facility, and repeated “Best of” recognition from 2012 through 2023.
