Ms. Sabrina’s Dance Academy

Ms. Sabrina’s Dance Academy offers dance classes for children. Classes draw from ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles, with ballet as a primary focus.

Ms. Sabrina’s Dance Academy was founded in 2021. The academy uses a progressive skills-based curriculum, and classes include balance, coordination, musicality, dance terminology, dance etiquette, imaginative play, and fun. The program focuses on making dance class a welcoming experience for children where they can build confidence, create friendships, feel a sense of accomplishment, and discover a love for dance. Its mission is to offer children's dance education that fosters creativity, imagination, and confidence, while enhancing both physical development and emotional well-being.

Owner and Director Sabrina Torrano began dancing at 3 years old and has trained in ballet, jazz, and contemporary styles, with ballet as her primary focus and passion. She has taught dance for over a decade, developed dance program curriculum, and supported the production of over 25 performances. She holds a bachelor's degree in sociology, has experience as a behavior assistant for autistic children, and worked in administration for a local non-profit organization that serves vulnerable and homeless youth. Dance teacher Ms. Sarah is a third-year student at Sonoma State University graduating this May and has spent her life in the performing arts, dancing and acting with various organizations since early childhood. Dance teacher Ms. Jaimie started ballet at five years old, later trained in ballroom dance in middle school with Mr. Nordquist, spent a year in his junior dance club in high school while also taking dance at school and performing in dance shows, and has extensive experience caring for children, including work as a daycare assistant in Bennett Valley and as a naturalist teaching outdoor education at Alliance Redwoods.
