Music Together

Music Together offers a variety of activities for children, including singing, dancing, playing instruments, and engaging with songs and rhythmic rhymes. The program also includes fingerplays, small- and large-movement activities, and instrument play.

Since 1987, Music Together has operated with the mission that music is a basic life skill, like language, and believes all children can learn to sing in tune, keep a beat, and participate confidently in music-making. The program features mixed-age classes in a family-like setting, with informal instruction and parent involvement. It uses a research-based curriculum with twelve non-sequential song collections, including music from many cultures. Testimonials highlight the program's impact, with parents noting personal growth and a shared musical experience with their children. Additionally, the program has raised $900 for the Sonoma County YWCA, demonstrating its community involvement.
