About
Santa Rosa Gymnastics Center Camps offers days where campers learn basic gymnastics skills, climb rock walls and ropes, play games, spend time crafting, and take part in water games. Weekly camps start at 8:30 am and end promptly at 3:30 pm, with options for full-day and half-day attendance.
• Ages: 5–12 years old
• Schedule: Spring, summer, Thanksgiving, and winter camps with weekly, single-day, and half-day options; full day 8:30 am–3:30 pm, half days 8:30–11:30 am or 12:30–3:30 pm
• Price: $80 Full Day / $45 Half Day or $360 Weekly (Current Members) / $380 Weekly (Non Members)
The program states that its goal is to encourage each child to reach their full potential in a safe, supportive, and un-pressured environment, and to guide students toward their own goals at their own pace. It notes that gymnastics at SRGC focuses on fundamentals such as strength, discipline, flexibility, coordination, self-confidence, and perseverance, and describes outcomes that may include becoming elite gymnasts, well-rounded athletes, successful students, and community leaders.
Instructors at Santa Rosa Gymnastics Center Camps are trained in SRGC and USA Gymnastics policies, are CPR and First Aid certified, and have been livescan fingerprinted. Every staff member has completed SRGC Training and Certification.
Families can also access some camp spaces through Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks. Parents can sign up through Santa Rosa Recreation and Parks using the referenced link.
Campers are expected to bring a water bottle, a morning snack, an afternoon lunch, and an afternoon snack, and those attending a summer camp on a Friday are asked to bring a change of clothes for water games. Recommended clothing includes movable items such as a leotard, shorts, and a t-shirt, with no zippers or buttons, and hair tied back and out of the face. Campers do not share food and do not buy food from vending machines without a parent present. Parents or guardians must fill out the membership packet, full release forms, and a COVID release form before a child attends any camp or classes at SRGC. Parents must sign children in and out of camps and provide a secret pick-up number, and any child picked up after 3:30 pm is charged $10 for every 15 minutes they remain at the program.
