The Little Big Riding School

The Little Big Riding School offers Cindy's famous summer camps for ages 6 and up, Cindy's famous winter camps for younger riders, kids riding lessons for child and teenage riders, and trail rides for the whole family. Summer camps run in week-long sessions from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm with 8:30 am check-in, and winter camps run Monday through Friday from 9:00 am to 12:00 pm. Kids riding lessons meet Monday through Friday from 3:30 pm to 5:00 pm, with Saturday and Sunday sessions also listed, and trail rides are offered on Saturday and Sunday, with appointments also available.

• Cindy's famous summer camps — ages 6 and up · Summer; basic week-long camps run 9:00 am-12:00 pm with 8:30 am check-in · $500 per week
• Cindy's famous winter camps — younger riders · Winter; class times run 9:00 am-12:00 pm, Monday-Friday · $500 per week · Includes horseback riding and other activities, plus a Christmas-themed horse decorating contest on the last day, with gifts for all.
• Kids riding lessons — child and teenage riders · Mon-Fri 3:30-5:00 pm; Saturday 10:00 am; Sunday 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, or by appointment
• Trail rides — the whole family · Saturday 10:00 am and 5:30 pm; Sunday 10:00 am and 5:00 pm, or by appointment

About the provider

The program is led by Cindy McClellan. It was established in 1994 and lists 40 years of experience. It is a member of the Santa Ynez Valley Equestrian Association and has past membership in the Santa Ynez Valley Trail Riders, The Fillies, Valley Penners Association (VPA), and The National Barrel Horse Association (NBHA). It also participated in many events with Rancheros Vistadores.

No refunds for cancellation after June 1st. The Your Horse Camp is not for beginners and is not available in 2026. Camp 5 is not available.
